Then this is the dream trip where everything comes together. Join us (Ties and Martijn) to Italy for a week of cycling and culinary enjoyment. Effort and relaxation in La Bella Italia. For the 4th edition of our culinary cycling trip, we have chosen Veneto as our destination. The region, with the mighty Dolomites in the north, the extensive Lake Garda in the west, and the coast in the south, has it all. Imagine: challenging cycling through the hills of Valpolicella, climbing in the high mountains of Monte Baldo, or a coffee ride to the Arena in Verona. Our stay during the trip is the delightful Villa dei Cipressi between the vineyards of Bardolino and Valpolicella. Both the city of Verona and Lake Garda are just around the corner. As for the cuisine of Veneto, the simple ‘cucina povera’ and the refined Venetian cuisine go hand in hand. We would love to take you on a culinary discovery journey through perhaps the most versatile cuisine of Italy; delicate and colorful. Price indication and registration We have provisionally set the price for the Culinary Cycling Trip in Veneto at €1895 per person. Once we have finalized the program, we can confirm the price (we expect only marginal adjustments in the price). The price includes: · Stay of 7 nights in Villa dei Cipressi – Sona Veneto, Breakfast, lunch and dinner for all days All drinks (excluding wine in restaurants) Food and provisions to complete the bike rides All workshops, visits, excursions, and trips What is not included? Wine during lunch/dinner in the restaurants, Personal expenses, Insurance, Transportation from the Netherlands to Italy and back. Use of a single room (surcharge 200 euros) Practical matters Villa dei Cipressi is located just outside the village of Sona in the Veneto region and between Lake Garda (15km) and Verona (15km). The fastest route is via Germany, the Brenner Pass, Innsbruck, and Trento (1150km from Utrecht). Flying is excellent from Amsterdam with Transavia to Verona Valerio Catullo (10 minutes/10 km drive). It is also quite possible to travel by train. The route is then by night train from Amsterdam via Basel to Milan (nightjet). From Milan, there is a fast connection to Verona by train or bus. If you do not travel by your own means but by train or plane, we offer the option to transport your racing bike from Amsterdam to Italy by bus. Once we know how much interest there is, we will adjust our bus accordingly. As a guideline, the costs of transport will be between €100 and €150 per bike. For the trip, we are assuming the use of double rooms. All rooms are double rooms, some with a double bed and some with two single beds. Some rooms have their own bathroom, while others share the bathroom with another room. Depending on the exact group composition, we will distribute the different rooms. · The group size for the trip will be a maximum of 14 people. · The program is provisional and will be finalized well before departure.
